Solution S03
When one unit should be able to grow into many.
Some products only make sense if a customer can start small and grow. A lighting control system that adds rooms over time. A mining platform that adds units as a customer scales up. A sensor network that grows floor by floor. A design that only works at one fixed size will not serve this kind of product.
01 How we approach this
- 01We design a shared bus or a daisy-chain architecture, so new units join the system without a redesign.
- 02We plan the full power budget at maximum scale, not just the size of your first prototype.
- 03We build a clear addressing scheme so the system can tell every unit apart as it grows.
- 04We bridge to outside standards, such as Z-Wave, without duplicating hardware in every unit.
02 A good fit if
- ✓Your product roadmap includes a bigger version, a networked version or a multi-unit version.
- ✓Your current design was built for one unit and was never meant to scale.
- ✓You want a customer to be able to add capacity without buying a whole new system.
