01 The problem
A formaldehyde monitor must detect low levels of the gas. The product needs a sensitive gas sensor and a processor that can handle calibration, signal cleanup and network connection.
All of it must fit in a small, low-cost case.
02 Our work
We built the sensor platform around the SFA40 formaldehyde sensor and an ESP32 processor, and built a complete KiCad hardware library for the platform.
We wrote a firmware base for the sensor and processor, then tested the design on the bench to confirm sensor accuracy and signal quality before moving it toward production.
03 What we delivered
- 01A custom PCB design connecting the SFA40 sensor to the ESP32 processor
- 02A complete KiCad component and footprint library
- 03A firmware base for sensor calibration and data handling
- 04A tested hardware design, ready for the next production step
